Loomis Austin Environmental Department Completes Phase
One Study of Barton Creek Wilderness
Park
February 2007
The Trust
for Public Land announced that it would donate 44 acres of natural
space to the City of Austin,
to be added to the existing 1,020-acre
Barton Creek Wilderness Park. Loomis Austin environmental staff
performed a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment
of the property
that included a review of agency records and historic information,
interviews with people familiar with the property, and a site
visit. The assessment looked for evidence of past, present, or a
current threat of environmental contamination on the property.
