We've Changed our Name |

August 13, 2008
The engineering, land surveying and
environmental consulting firm Loomis Austin, Inc. has changed its
name to Loomis Partners, Inc.
An Expression of Growth
"This change is an expression of our
growth and maturation as a company,” said Tom Loomis, Principal. “It
is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to partner with our
clients. It also represents an understanding among Loomis employees
that we are partners in a common endeavor, striving together to make
this a great place to work."
The unveiling of the new name
and logo wraps up a period of dynamic change at Loomis. In February,
the firm acquired
Metcalfe and Sanders Surveying,
one of Austin's
oldest and most respected firms, having worked in the Austin area
for over 100 years. "Our survey library is quite amazing,” said Andy Hollon, Principal. “We have records from all over Central Texas
dating back 100 years, some of them drafted on linen!”
Concurrent with the acquisition,
Loomis moved its offices
to 3101 Bee Cave Road to acquire more space. The company has
continued to show strong growth even as today's market has slowed.
Loomis is projecting record earnings of $6,000,000 for fiscal year
2008. The firm has also recently added national clients like the
McCoy's Corporation to an already impressive list of customers.
A Foundation for Innovation
Leveraging over 15 years of
experience, Loomis has been a leader and innovator in shaping the
way Central Texas is growing. Since opening its doors in 1993, the
company has expanded to over 50 employees with unparalleled
expertise in civil engineering, a deeply talented land surveying
division, and the most credible and experienced environmental group
in the region.
A Firm on the Move
"We have worked with Loomis staff
for a number of years and it has been remarkable to see their
organization grow and diversify," said Peter French of Plum Creek
Development. "They are definitely becoming a power player in
Central Texas and a firm on the move."
New Name, Same Vision
Bill Burnett, director of business
development at Loomis, said, "Although we changed our name, we are
not changing our principals. We will continue to provide our clients
with a unique blend of technical knowledge, common sense and the
highest quality professional services."
