Endangered Species & Conservation Planning

Compliance with the Endangered Species Act can range from simple avoidance of endangered species to development of large-scale conservation plans involving multiple species and overlapping political jurisdictions. Loomis Partners offers a full spectrum of endangered species consultation and conservation planning assistance. Our staff is experienced with ecological conservation planning for municipal, county and state agencies and private industry. We have prepared Section 7 Biological Assessments and Section 10 Habitat Conservation Plans for areas ranging from half an acre to 300,000 acres.  These have included single species and multi-species ecosystem plans (such as the Balcones Canyonlands Conservation Plan).

We have conducted numerous habitat assessments and endangered species surveys for many federally and state listed species, including: the black-capped vireo, golden-cheeked warbler, bald eagle, piping plover, red-cockaded woodpecker, ocelot, jaguarundi, black-footed ferret, Houston toad, Michaux's sumac, rough-leaved loosestrife, Navasota ladies'-tresses, and endangered cave invertebrates (e.g., Tooth Cave spider).
